Christmas Magnets

Good Evening! I have finally got a picture of my magnets & I'll put them on my blog. We had our Red Hat Christmas Tea tonight & I made the place cards & then wrapped these dominoes in tissue paper with little bows with bells. Everyone seemed to like them.

My Cards

Hi Everyone! I'm really really new at this so I'm not sure how to post my card photos on here so will just give you the link to my gallery on SCS.

I've been making magnets out of dominoes this week. I've been using the Wishing You Cheers stamp set & using Staz On Ink. I've been coloring them in with ultra fine Sharpies. I'll try to get a picture of them on soon. It's kind of tedious work, but they look really neat. I am using them as gifts to the vets, dentist, doctor's nurses, etc.

Anyway, I'm gonna get going now & hope everyone has a great day!

Good Evening! I've been so busy I haven't had time to even look at my blog. I just mailed the last of my Christmas packages to our troops yesterday. I sent 8 Christmas boxes, which brings the grand total to 52 packages since March.

At the last Stampin Up party, we made a card where you stamped white glossy card stock with VersaMark. Then you used the brayer to cover the card in ink. I had got the Poinsetta Awash Jumbo Wheel so I thought I would try to use this technique on it. I covered the card stock with the poinsettas in Versa Mark & then I used the brayer to cover it with Real Red ink. It turned out really well & I will put it on my blog. I sent them in the the packages I sent to Iraq.

Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers.

Hi Everyone! I'm Jan & I'm totally new to stamping & blogging (as you can probably already tell!) I'm from Southeast Kansas, I'm a Cosmetologist & own my own shop for almost 10 years! I am an avid supporter of our Military. I have sent 44 packages to our troops in Iraq & Afghanistan since March. I also just did my 2nd Annual Cuts for Vets, where I give Veterans $5 haircuts with proof of military service.

I'm looking forward to making a lot of new friends in our Sisterhood & on SPC! Have a great day!

S.H.I.T Day - So Happy It's Thursday!

Good evening! My friend, Jean & I went to our SU Demonstrater's house to make Christmas things. We covered a wood frame with Designer paper, made a couple of Christmas ornaments & a little box that holds two mint patties. I think I am going to use the scallop punch & 1 1/4" round punch to cover the mint patties . I thought I would send them to the troops for Christmas. That is another thing I do, I have sent 44 packages to our troops in Iraq & Afghanistan since March. I want to post some of my cards on here, but not quite sure how to do it! Hopefully, one of my "sistas" in the sisterhood can help me. Anyway, gonna go for now! Bye!

It's me again & I'm still trying to figure this all out! I don't have any of my cards saved on my computer except for the ones I put on SCS....But, that gives me a great excuse to get my "creative juices" flowing!!!

I really enjoy looking at other stamper's work & there are some really beautiful cards on there. I am anxious to try the shaving cream & the masking tape cards. I don't know much about embossing, but I'm willing to give it a try!!! I am totally amazed at how many different ways you can use the stamp set "Lovely As A Tree"!!!! My SU Demonstrator showed us a lot of ways to make the Christmas Cards using that stamp set!

Here Goes!!!

Hi! My name is Jan & I totally do not know what I'm doing here, so please be patient!! I just recently joined SCS & have only been stamping for a few months. I have a friend that is into stamping & she let me create something one day & I was hooked! I own a barber shop & on my feet most of the day, so it is nice to have something to do after I get home. It's therapy to me, when I start something, I don't stop until it's finished......no matter how many mistakes I make or how long it takes me. I've been brave enough to post some of my work. I hope you enjoy looking at it.

I live in Southeast Kansas & like I said I cut hair in a barber shop. I've worked there for 16 years, but have owned it 10 years this coming May. I enjoy cutting hair, cut sometimes I need something to just kind of unwind & relax. I really enjoy stamping & seeing what I can come up with.

Like I said I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do, so maybe this post will get me started.
